<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
She is a pink girl so I knew what colour to start with and it took a bit of time to get the end result but am happy how it turned out and she loved it so that was the main thing.</div>

Merry Christmas everyone. Now that christmas has been and the gifts given I can now blog and enter this in to the JAI Scrapbooking Challenge #11 which is <a href="http://just-add-ink.blogspot.co.nz/search/label/Scrapbooking%20Challenge">Just Add a mini album</a> or a Scrapbooking gift for Christmas. I created this scrap page on a canvas of my adorable little friend Ella (aged 3) and gave it to her and her mum for christmas.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yLZqyC0iyLk/UNpYYpTHbZI/AAAAAAAAAQ0/3qUB0o9PNcU/s1600/IMG_0171.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="246" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yLZqyC0iyLk/UNpYYpTHbZI/AAAAAAAAAQ0/3qUB0o9PNcU/s320/IMG_0171.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I sponged the background and stamped and sponged/stenciled using a dollies cutout. Have used stickers that have a 3D effect so the the Butterflies and Dragonflies wings can be positioned off the page. Did Ella's name by cutting out the letters in chipboard with the big shot and sponging ink onto them and them applying Crystal Effects and Dazzling diamonds. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Am really pleased with how it turned out and the recipients were thrilled with it too.</div>

Was a great weekend spent crafting with like minded friends and a chance to make new friends as well.<br />
<br />
I was asked to demonstrate a technique to WOW the crafters so I decided to show the Faux Patina technique that <a href="http://stampinantics.blogspot.co.nz/2012/05/faux-patina-bookmark.html">Paula</a> taught us. This involves using about 4 inks and some embossing powder as well as a textured embossing folder.<br />
<br />
I demonstrated this card using Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, and some Cherry Cobbler inks for a christmas theme. I used the Lace Brocade embossing folder and Pewter embossing powder and finished it with Gumball Green and Midnight Muse stitched satin ribbons.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-w-2cIA7MrHw/UKgUYAkVT1I/AAAAAAAAAQA/8LSMmDmDEjo/s1600/IMG_0141.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="234" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-w-2cIA7MrHw/UKgUYAkVT1I/AAAAAAAAAQA/8LSMmDmDEjo/s320/IMG_0141.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here are some of the samples I made up to show other colours and uses.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Rg5HDssrULk/UKfnDTi2YcI/AAAAAAAAAPk/8fDkoCj_MtE/s1600/DSC05401.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Rg5HDssrULk/UKfnDTi2YcI/AAAAAAAAAPk/8fDkoCj_MtE/s320/DSC05401.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This one was done in yellows and blues with gold embossing and is the lid of a box. It was finished with a stitched satin ribbon in the new in colour Midnight Muse. The embossing folder is the new Lace Brocade.</div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XPxElcDk0oQ/UKfnOBM3MmI/AAAAAAAAAPs/U-_RtjSgfiE/s1600/DSC05412.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XPxElcDk0oQ/UKfnOBM3MmI/AAAAAAAAAPs/U-_RtjSgfiE/s320/DSC05412.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
This is a card that was done in blues, green and brown also with gold embossing and finished with some organza ribbon and an antique brad. The embossing folder is Vintage Wallpaper.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5TNiDOQX2UY/UKgUbbLtZrI/AAAAAAAAAQI/KQyhiqa7ZcQ/s1600/IMG_0144.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="305" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5TNiDOQX2UY/UKgUbbLtZrI/AAAAAAAAAQI/KQyhiqa7ZcQ/s320/IMG_0144.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This one uses glossy cardstock with pink and red colours with Pewter embossing powder and the Lace brocade folder.<br />
<br />
I had also used this technique on a scrapbook page <a href="http://havefunwithstamps.blogspot.co.nz/2012/10/introducing-cooper.html">Here</a>, so you are only limited by your imagination as to what you can use and how you use it.. <br />
<br />
It was a great technique to show and had a few ladies try it out over the weekend.</div>

<br />
Gumball green card stock for the card base with cherry cobbler DSP from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack in the Holiday catalogue. The tree is from the main catalogue which I have stamped with gumball green ink and dazzled with dazzling diamonds and added a large rhinestone at the top.<br />
<br />
The greeting is stamped in cherry cobbler ink and is part of the Curly Cute set and I have finished it off with a bow in the cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon.Rhondahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11694440223081670243noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7885967550663474455.post-43017465916897694022012-10-31T17:43:00.000+13:002012-10-31T17:43:34.894+13:00Peace on Earth<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is my first christmas card and it is totally non traditional, I was trying out a technique that I had been shown months ago at techniques class. I have done the baby wipe swipe using reinkers on a baby wipe and swiping it across a piece of glossy card stock. I then stamped it with a flower from the Mixed Bunch set and a sentiment from the Merry & Type set. It was finished off with some Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon and some Rhinestones.</div>

<br />
For a few months while I wasn't blogging I had been working on a cot quilt for Cooper.<br />
Here some photos of it in his cot. The quilt panel is all hand stitched and the binding has been sewn by hand too. I has been a real labour of love.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
At the end of July I became a very very proud and doting Grandma and have finally got round to doing a page of my adorable grandson Cooper.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wialHE7djcQ/UHD7ubm36FI/AAAAAAAAAOA/F_3hrATdufc/s1600/IMG_0099.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="318" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wialHE7djcQ/UHD7ubm36FI/AAAAAAAAAOA/F_3hrATdufc/s320/IMG_0099.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Have used a lot of retired product on the page but am pleased with the way it has turned out.Rhondahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11694440223081670243noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7885967550663474455.post-85618688833092297992012-04-18T14:46:00.000+12:002012-04-18T14:46:22.063+12:00Anniversary CardToday I have made a card for some friends who will be celebrating their anniversary tomorrow. I had been looking on line for inspiration and have come up with this so if it is similar to yours thank you for the inspiration but I cannot remember where I saw it so am not able to give you credit.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cDVKCzaUrIc/T44qMaefJMI/AAAAAAAAANw/_MuGWOqA1dQ/s1600/IMG_0026.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cDVKCzaUrIc/T44qMaefJMI/AAAAAAAAANw/_MuGWOqA1dQ/s320/IMG_0026.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--DHcO0oUSZU/T44qOCXArlI/AAAAAAAAAN4/ks0mjf6Eg6U/s1600/IMG_0023.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--DHcO0oUSZU/T44qOCXArlI/AAAAAAAAAN4/ks0mjf6Eg6U/s320/IMG_0023.JPG" width="246" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Unfortunately the weather is rather dull and overcast and the photography is rubbish but I am really pleased with the way the card ended up.</div>

We used the Baby Tees wheel that Anna rolled on whisper white card and then coloured with a mix of markers and inks with blender pens. Then she cut out the tees and attached them to the cards with dimensionals. I cut the card and as we were making 3" by 3" cards I used 12" by 12" sheets so there was no waste and Nursery Nest DSP.<br />
<br />

It was a fun day and great to do the job together and I think Anna enjoyed being involved in the making as well. She typed up the details on the computer for us to put in the inside.</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I haven't been doing much in the way of card making as I have been working on quilting a cot panel for baby's cot. I will show you when it is finished.</div>

Well this year I don't have any one going back to school but thought that this notebook will be very useful for my daughter to keep track of things she should be going.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_MhJzaNFKEU/Tzc_urukucI/AAAAAAAAAMA/fPm-NUm3FZw/s1600/IMG_4080.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_MhJzaNFKEU/Tzc_urukucI/AAAAAAAAAMA/fPm-NUm3FZw/s320/IMG_4080.JPG" width="237" /></a></div><br />

I will be forever hopeful that she might actually tick off chores 2 and 3 but I know she won't have a problem with the first one (neither would I).Rhondahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11694440223081670243noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7885967550663474455.post-89610532885256024052012-02-06T16:10:00.000+13:002012-02-06T16:10:33.936+13:00Challenge TimeFound some time the other day to make a card for the<a href="http://just-add-ink.blogspot.co.nz/2012/02/jai-103-just-add-red-and-white.html"> Just Add Ink</a> challenge for this week which is a colour challenge to use only Red and White. I also decided to use the sketch from the challenge at <a href="http://trystampinontuesday.blogspot.co.nz/2012/01/challenge-50_31.html">Try Stamping on Tuesday</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GH3XZBEuEuY/Ty9AximHv1I/AAAAAAAAAL4/-QJS0nan6rc/s1600/IMG_4070.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="257" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GH3XZBEuEuY/Ty9AximHv1I/AAAAAAAAAL4/-QJS0nan6rc/s320/IMG_4070.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
I used Riding Hood Red, Whisper White and Confetti White card stock but I have also added a touch of Pink Pirouette (that is of course red and white together). I stamped on the top Whisper White piece and them smudge it with a sponge and on the Whisper White mat I have spritzed it with the colour spritzer tool and a marker. All the edges have been distressed and I have painted some of the butterflies with Champagne Mist shimmer paint. I have used a White Organza ribbon with some basic pearls and rhinestones to finish it off.Rhondahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11694440223081670243noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7885967550663474455.post-23885309298731046902012-02-04T09:01:00.000+13:002012-02-04T09:01:37.634+13:00Another Birthday CardYes this is another birthday card. This time for one of my Paper Diva Team members Sharlene, Happy Birthday Sharlene, hope your day was a good one.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-om3FKcBD8uk/Tyo_XcIE6wI/AAAAAAAAALo/ZLfrAmQZd6Y/s1600/IMG_4069.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="287" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-om3FKcBD8uk/Tyo_XcIE6wI/AAAAAAAAALo/ZLfrAmQZd6Y/s320/IMG_4069.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I have used a stamp from the Vintage Vogue set stamped in Wisteria Wonder and inlaid embossed some butterflies that I had cut out with the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die with the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and then put in the Square Lattice embossing folder. Then because I didn't think that the butterflies were showing up very well I decided to put some more on top. Adding some basic Pearls and Organza ribbon to finish it off.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1dI9SAC_S9A/Tyo_b4zFM0I/AAAAAAAAALw/7PabZikmYdE/s1600/IMG_4067.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1dI9SAC_S9A/Tyo_b4zFM0I/AAAAAAAAALw/7PabZikmYdE/s320/IMG_4067.JPG" width="283" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I used the same stamp on the inside of the card and on the envelope.</div>Rhondahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11694440223081670243noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7885967550663474455.post-26411954389142581242012-01-31T18:14:00.000+13:002012-01-31T18:14:10.936+13:00Another Man's CardThis is a similar card to the one I posted yesterday. <br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gCpPmKF42Qc/TyZJih9FwXI/AAAAAAAAALY/HWl8x8Qrlkk/s1600/IMG_4048.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gCpPmKF42Qc/TyZJih9FwXI/AAAAAAAAALY/HWl8x8Qrlkk/s320/IMG_4048.JPG" width="243" /></a></div><br />
<br />
I'm currently in the process of make a box of cards for a gift and thought this would be a good simple card to go in it. Have made a few cards but unfortunately I seem to need a lot of them for birthdays at the moment so will just have to work harder.Rhondahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11694440223081670243noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7885967550663474455.post-64620974517569529032012-01-27T19:54:00.001+13:002012-01-28T08:13:00.236+13:00Butterfly Birthday CardI put this card together for my good friend Tina, whose birthday it was this week. Happy Birthday, Tina.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>I have only just got this Beautiful Butterfly die for my big shot and I love it so you can expect to see more projects using it.<br />
<br />
I have teamed the Real Red butterfly (Brights Collection Pattern DSP Stack) with a backing of Spice Cake DSP from the summer mini and an embossed mat in Lucky Limeade on a Naturals Ivory card base. With the addition of some basic pearls and a spritz of shimmer mist it was ready to go.Rhondahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11694440223081670243noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7885967550663474455.post-9957152975708563652012-01-22T11:00:00.001+13:002012-01-28T08:10:49.595+13:00Happy Birthday BerniceIt is my friend Bernice's 40th birthday this week (such a long time ago for me 'sigh') and this is the card I came up with. I gave it to her at her party last night. Hope you have a great day on the day.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ygm64bMF8Rs/TyL2pV8mX3I/AAAAAAAAALI/LvxzOXL5NBE/s1600/IMG_4056.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="233" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ygm64bMF8Rs/TyL2pV8mX3I/AAAAAAAAALI/LvxzOXL5NBE/s320/IMG_4056.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
I liked the look of the layers and the torn edge of the DSP, I have also wet and rolled the bottom edge of the black mat. Have used a bittie button threaded with early espresso bakers twine that features in the latest mini catalogue and have also spritzed the card with shimmer mist made with champagne shimmer paint, I so love this stuff.Rhondahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11694440223081670243noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7885967550663474455.post-64835343068734477692012-01-01T12:37:00.000+13:002012-01-01T12:37:12.507+13:00My GirlsHi there, I know I haven't been here for a while but I hope to post more regular this year. Maybe you could call it my new years resolution lol.<br />
<br />
I have completed this scrapbook page using a layout designed by <a href="http://thestampincorner.blogspot.com/">Anna Mangnall</a> for our Paper Divas Extravaganza that was held in December. I love the colours that Anna has chosen and the use of the butterflies and the lovely cherry cobbler polka dot ribbon to finish it off. Thanks for your inspiration Anna.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CVcEZHcUdnc/TpgA3QFSEfI/AAAAAAAAAKA/45PxGvz9X4I/s1600/IMG_4016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CVcEZHcUdnc/TpgA3QFSEfI/AAAAAAAAAKA/45PxGvz9X4I/s320/IMG_4016.JPG" width="266" /></a></div><br />
On this card I have again used the Welcome Christmas and Christmas Greetings stamp sets.<br />
<br />
I stamped the wreath and then added red dots for the berries with a stampin marker and I have fussy cut JOY and adhered the J & Y with small pieces of dimentionals but the O is flat. The ribbon is Very Vanilla Seam Binding.<br />
<br />
The colours used are Real Red and Pear Pizzazz and the base card is Naturals Ivory.Rhondahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11694440223081670243noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7885967550663474455.post-44471056252755177702011-10-10T20:36:00.001+13:002011-10-10T21:17:57.840+13:00Welcome ChristmasWe had our Team get together on Saturday and this is the swap I put together. I actually made this as one of the card for my class that I held yesterday too.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C2B-FChQUgg/TpKqHoQeydI/AAAAAAAAAJ8/yAtfHl6Xw9I/s1600/IMG_4013.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="237" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C2B-FChQUgg/TpKqHoQeydI/AAAAAAAAAJ8/yAtfHl6Xw9I/s320/IMG_4013.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I have used cherry cobbler and old olive card stock and crumb cake and cherry cobbler inks to stamp the images from the Welcome Christmas. The Merry & Type stamp set has some great stamps to choose from and that is where the Deck the Halls stamp is from. The Merry Christmas is from a set of two stamps called Christmas Greetings the other stamp being one that is suitable to stamp on the inside of your cards.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I love the new seam binding ribbons that are available now and with the addition of some rhinestones and some Champagne Shimmer Paint the card was finished. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
