She is a pink girl so I knew what colour to start with and it took a bit of time to get the end result but am happy how it turned out and she loved it so that was the main thing.

3 x 3 birthday card
I made this little card a few weeks back and thought I would share it with you.
Gave it to a friend for her birthday and she was really chuffed that I had made it for her.
I is so nice when you can make someone's day just by giving them a simple card.

Happy Birthday Sweet Ella
This is a birthday card I have made for a sweet little girl who has just turned three, Happy Birthday Ella.
I have used DSP from Nursery Nest with Pink Pirouette and Marina Mist card stock. The brads are from the brights collection and the ribbon is white organza. The stamp is from the Tagtastic hostess set from the current Ideas Book and Catalogue.

I was just mucking around with some scraps and left overs (sounds like tea time lol) and decided to see how it would all turn out. I must say it isn't to bad, so this is another card ready for a birthday.
Have gone to a favourite stamp set Vintage Vogue and Wisteria Wonder and Concord Crush colours. I have inlaid embossed to add a different look.

Another Birthday Card
Yes this is another birthday card. This time for one of my Paper Diva Team members Sharlene, Happy Birthday Sharlene, hope your day was a good one.
I have used a stamp from the Vintage Vogue set stamped in Wisteria Wonder and inlaid embossed some butterflies that I had cut out with the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die with the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and then put in the Square Lattice embossing folder. Then because I didn't think that the butterflies were showing up very well I decided to put some more on top. Adding some basic Pearls and Organza ribbon to finish it off.
I used the same stamp on the inside of the card and on the envelope.

Another Man's Card
This is a similar card to the one I posted yesterday.
With a change of embellishments and sentiment it is a different card.

A card for the man in your life
I thought I would just whip up this simple card suitable for the man in your life.
I'm currently in the process of make a box of cards for a gift and thought this would be a good simple card to go in it. Have made a few cards but unfortunately I seem to need a lot of them for birthdays at the moment so will just have to work harder.

Butterfly Birthday Card
I put this card together for my good friend Tina, whose birthday it was this week. Happy Birthday, Tina.
I have only just got this Beautiful Butterfly die for my big shot and I love it so you can expect to see more projects using it.
I have teamed the Real Red butterfly (Brights Collection Pattern DSP Stack) with a backing of Spice Cake DSP from the summer mini and an embossed mat in Lucky Limeade on a Naturals Ivory card base. With the addition of some basic pearls and a spritz of shimmer mist it was ready to go.

Happy Birthday Bernice
It is my friend Bernice's 40th birthday this week (such a long time ago for me 'sigh') and this is the card I came up with. I gave it to her at her party last night. Hope you have a great day on the day.
I liked the look of the layers and the torn edge of the DSP, I have also wet and rolled the bottom edge of the black mat. Have used a bittie button threaded with early espresso bakers twine that features in the latest mini catalogue and have also spritzed the card with shimmer mist made with champagne shimmer paint, I so love this stuff.

JAI # 67 - A Sketch
Finally got time over the weekend to get this card done for the Just Add Ink challenge and this week it is a sketch challenge.
Lots and lots of butterflies with some shimmer paint on them because I have just got some of that in my latest order. So with sparkly paint and sparkly rhinestones my card is done. Some of the butterflies are card stock and some vellum made using the Beautiful Wings Embosslit die.
So I had a go and this is what I came up with.

Happy Birthday Todd
OMG I hadn't realised how long it was since I last posted something.
Yesterday was the 21st birthday of my darling son. Happy Birthday Todd hope you had a great day.
This is the card I made him

I have used lots of techniques on this card that I have learnt from my wonderful friend and up line Paula Dobson. (Thanks Paula.)
There is brayering, sponging and masking involved in the background and the tree is from the Lovely as a Tree set which is a great set to used when making a masculine card (I also used the pine cone stamp from this set on the inside of the card). Have added a star using a rhinestone and white gel pen.
I used Night Of Navy card stock for the card base and matted with Autumn Spice DSP from the new mini as well as some Confetti White card stock matting as well. I had used confetti white for my stamping too. The sentiment was printed out onto vellum card stock on my computer as I don't have any numbers and I used some hardware from the Hodgepodge Hardware kit.
On the inside I have added some brayering again and used sentiments from Occasional Quotes and Create a cupcake.

Bright and Sunny
My daughter is off to a birthday party tonight so we have made a card and a box to put the gift in.
The weather here today it raining so with these being made in a nice bright yellow it is like a touch of sunshine.
Have decided to enter this into the SUO Challenge 15 - Birthday Cards.

Just Add Ink 59 A sketch Challenge

There is a sketch challenge for us over at JAI this week and this is what I came up with. I haven't used this set for quite a while but thought it would work for this birthday card today. It is the Every Moment set and I have made the card in Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie to match the bag I made last week that you can see here.

I have even used the daisy on the inside of the card too.

Sketch Challenge JAI # 56
Over at Just Add Ink this week there is a sketch challenge for us.
Sketches are quite good when you need some inspiration as they can kick start your mind in the right direction (hopefully) when you don't know where to start.
This is my take on the sketch

I started off with a Pear Pizzazz card base and have matted with Confetti White, then I stamped on Whisper White with Concord Crush a two step flower from the Fast & Fabulous Hostess Set, I have also sponged the edges of the Whisper White with some Pear Pizzazz ink.
The Happy Birthday from the Curly Cute set was stamped in Versa mark and heat embossed with white embossing powder on Basic Black card stock which is part of a top note. Of course I have added a rhinestone. Then I added a strip of Pear Pizzazz card stock that had been scalloped along one edge and a ribbon.
I also stamped on the inside of the card
This time I used the birthday wishes from the Occasional Quotes hostess set and the same flower (or part of) as I had used on the front.
I hope you go and have a look at what the design team have done this week and check out all the other entries too. Feel free to give it ago yourself.

Just Add Ink # 50
Well this weeks challenge from the fabulous Just Add Ink ladies is a colour challenge. They are such an inspiration to us all. The colours they have chosen are:

So this is what I have come up with. It is a birthday card for my darling daughter Anna who is 19 today. Happy Birthday Sweetie hope you are having a great day. We did take her out for lunch.
I decided that I would also make it as a gate fold card (think that's what it is called) as I have seen these on other blogs and thought that it would be fun to try something I hadn't tried before.
This a look at what the inside looks like

And a closeup look of the front

I have not used any dazzling diamonds for this card but instead have used Rhinestones and Pearls as Anna is a young lady who loves her bling and the So Swirly wheel is one of her favourites. She loved it but did ask where was the dazzling diamond LOL.
Materials Used:
Stamp sets: Occasional Quotes, Curly and Cute, Punch Potpourri. So Swirly Wheel
Inks: Elegant Eggplant, Pear Pizzazz
Card stock: So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Basic Pearls, Basic Rhinestones, Boho Blossom Punch, Butterfly Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Sponging

Happy Birthday Ellen
It was my daughter Ellen's 16th birthday last week and this is the card I made her (the night before).
I'm sure she would have loved to have got this many bags of gifts (wouldn't we all).
The stamp set used is the level1 hostess set Birthday Bakery. I coloured in all the bags with blender pens and added dazzling diamonds to the tissue paper and the hearts. I also used the same stamp on the card base to add some interest.
You can really see the shiny dazzle on this (blurry) photo.

Happy Birthday
Well I have had another go at sponging and feel this is a little better. I have masked at the same time to get the colour graduations. I have then stamped over the background with the butterfly from the Punch Potpourri hostess set. This has all been done with one colour, Marina Mist.
I have then stamped and punched another butterfly and added that with a 3 D effect by raising its wings. It has been put on a base card of Marina Mist also. The ribbon is the Marina Mist satin ribbon and I have used gold brads and pearls to finish it all off. The sentiment comes from the Fun and Fast Notes set.
