Merry Christmas Everyone.

Had meant to post this Christmas card earlier but time got away on me but here it is and Merry Christmas to you all and your families.

I have also decided to enter this into the Just Add Ink challenge this week which is a sketch  challenge.  You should pop over and have a look at all the other fantastic creations.

I used Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla card stock and a Very Vanilla envelope that I recut to fit the card.  The inks used were Cherry cobbler, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz and then there is the addition of a square Rhinestone Brad and Dazzling Diamonds.

Just Add Ink # 47

This week at Just Add Ink they have a colour challenge for us and an interesting combination it is too.

We have to use these colours in whatever we make for this week.
As I am still in birthday mode I have made another birthday card for my dad this weekend, Happy Birthday Dad.  Wasn't sure if I could get a mans card out of this challenge but gave it a go an this is the end result.

I used Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise DSP from the Brights Pattern Stack, Riding Hood Red card stock on a base card of Basic Grey card stock.  Ink is Basic Grey and the stamps sets are retired Greetings Eight and the new Grunge Rock set.  I stamped over the DSP to tone down the bright colour and make it more masculine (I hope) added some brads and linen thread.  So there we have it.

Hope some of you have a go at some of these challenges some time too.

Time for a Treat

Just Add Ink #46

I wanted to show you all this cute card that Ellen made for her friends birthday a couple of months ago and as the Just Add Ink challenge this week is to add "critters" I decided that now would be a good time to post them on my blog.

She made it using a treat cup which she filled with mini M & M's.  We made sure that there was a slider behind the treats so that they could be got out without ruining the card. The little bears shirt was stamped with the very vintage wheel.  I'm sure Emma loved it.

Happy Birthday

I had a birthday last week and I thought I would like to show you the lovely cards my friends and family made and gave me.

This card was made by my talented daughter Ellen
who also clear embossed the cakes on this card.

This card and bottle tag came from my friend and upline Paula.

This card was made for me by my friend Chris.

and this little set was made by my friend Vicki who also made these lovely brooches

Last but not least was the cake that Tina made me

She did a great job.

Thanks very much my lovely friends for all you birthday wishes.

Just Add Ink 45

This week Just Add Ink has a sketch challenge and as
there are still birthdays in my family to make cards for I
decided to use this opportunity to make something I
could enter into this weeks challenge.

This is what I came up with.

I made this cute double pocket bag. Using Old Olive DSP, cardstock and ribbons with the gift bag stamp from Birthday Bakery (my Fav at the moment), brads, pearls, diamantes and of course Dazzling diamonds.

Then I decided I would make a card to go with the bag and thought why not stick to the same theme.

I again used Old Olive cardstock and DSP,  my favourite stamp set, pearls, diamantes and dazzling diamonds.

The sentiment is from the Curly Cute stamp set.

Here are a couple of photos of them together.
